What are the risks of taking a hair sample?

Hair removal is not invasive, i.e. there is no incision in the skin. It is performed using a pair of scissors to cut the hair as close as possible to the scalp.
Particular care must be taken during sampling to limit the risk of cutting the hair strand with the scissors. The use of round-tipped scissors limits the risks.

There is therefore no health risk in taking a hair sample.
